A proposed class proceeding was filed in the Manitoba Court of Queen’s Bench on April 23, 2010 which alleges that The Cash Store and Instaloans charged loan fees in contravention of the Criminal Code on loans provided in the Yukon. The action seeks the recovery of money The Cash Store and Instaloans have collected in excess of the maximum rate permitted under the Criminal Code on behalf of all persons resident in the Yukon whom borrowed a loan from The Cash Store and Instaloans.
