Andrew Buchanan has been practicing commercial litigation with Hordo & Bennett since joining the firm as a summer articled student in 2004. He was called to the Bar in May 2007.
Mr. Buchanan has experience in a broad variety of commercial litigation disputes, including: negligent and fraudulent misrepresentation, professional negligence, and products liability. Mr. Buchanan has also gained experience in the prosecution and defence of class proceedings. He has appeared before the Supreme Court of British Columbia and assisted senior counsel before the British Columbia Court of Appeal.
While at law school, Mr. Buchanan won a number of awards, including, the Borden Ladner Gervais B.C. Prize, the Stuart Clyne Prize, and the Edna Chambers Class of ’77 Award. During his final year of law school Mr. Buchanan clerked at the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia.
Mr. Buchanan is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Vancouver Bar Association.
