On April 29, 2005, Tim Oliver filed a proposed class proceeding in the Supreme Court of British Columbia, which alleges that the companies and individuals operating the business Sorensen’s Loans ‘Til Payday charged payday loan fees in contravention of theCriminal Code. This action seeks the recovery of money these Defendants have collected in excess of the maximum rate permitted under the Criminal Codeon behalf of all persons resident in British Columbia whom borrowed a payday loan from Sorensen’s Loans ‘Til Payday.
