A proposed class proceeding was filed in the Supreme Court of British Columbia, which alleged that Stop N’ Cash charged payday loan fees in contravention of the Criminal Code.  This action sought the recovery of money Stop N’ Cash had collected in excess of the maximum rate permitted under the Criminal Code on behalf of all persons resident in British Columbia whom borrowed a payday loan from Stop N’ Cash.

This action is no longer being actively advanced as Stop N’ Cash has ceased operations in British Columbia.
